1. Who This Policy Applies To

This Privacy Policy explains how Vincent Vanynh, operating through vanynh.com, collects, uses, discloses, stores, and protects personal information when you visit this website, use the contact form, access resources, download materials, purchase digital products, or communicate with me.

This website is operated from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy is intended to reflect Canadian privacy expectations, including Alberta private-sector privacy requirements and applicable Canadian privacy laws.

It applies to visitors, users, prospective clients, clients, purchasers, subscribers, and anyone who interacts with vanynh.com or communicates with me through the website.

2. Personal Information I May Collect

The information collected depends on how you use the website and may include:

  • Contact information such as your name, email address, organization, and details you choose to provide.
  • Inquiry information such as the nature of your request, project, business issue, consulting need, resource request, or support issue.
  • Transaction and customer information related to digital-product purchases, including name, email address, country or region, product purchased, licence selected, order date, transaction status, and support or refund correspondence.
  • Technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time on page, and basic website-usage information.
  • Communication information such as messages exchanged through forms, email, scheduling tools, or other channels.
  • Marketing and preference information when you opt in to updates or promotional communications.

Please do not submit sensitive personal information unless necessary for the inquiry. This includes government identification numbers, full financial account or payment-card details, medical information, confidential employment information, or information about third parties.

3. How Information Is Collected

Information may be collected when you:

  • Submit the contact form.
  • Request consulting, advisory, project, review, collaboration, speaking, or product-support information.
  • Download or access a tool, checklist, template, workbook, PDF, report, or resource.
  • Purchase or access a digital product through Payhip or another disclosed storefront.
  • Subscribe to updates, newsletters, or resource notifications where available.
  • Interact with website pages, embedded content, forms, spam-protection tools, analytics tools, or third-party services.
  • Communicate directly after submitting a website inquiry or completing a purchase.

4. How I Use Personal Information

I may use personal information for purposes reasonable in the circumstances, including to:

  • Respond to inquiries and assess whether I can assist.
  • Communicate with prospective clients, clients, collaborators, purchasers, or resource users.
  • Provide, deliver, support, or improve tools, templates, workbooks, reports, downloads, consulting materials, and digital products.
  • Process purchases, order delivery, licences, refunds, disputes, account access, and product support.
  • Maintain website security, prevent spam, detect abuse, and protect the website from malicious activity.
  • Improve website performance, content, user experience, tools, and resources.
  • Maintain business, accounting, tax, legal, and administrative records.
  • Send marketing communications only where permitted by law and where appropriate consent has been obtained.

5. Consent

By voluntarily submitting information, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure for the purposes identified in this policy or at the time of collection.

You may withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal, contractual, business, or technical limitations. Withdrawal may affect my ability to respond, deliver a resource, provide support, or perform requested services.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

This website may use cookies, pixels, analytics tools, security tools, spam-protection services, embedded content, and similar technologies. These may collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, page visits, referral information, and interaction data.

These technologies may be used to operate and secure the website, protect forms from spam, remember preferences, assess performance, and understand how resources are used. You can usually control cookies through browser settings, although blocking them may affect website function, security checks, or form submission.

7. Third-Party Services

The website may rely on third-party providers for hosting, WordPress, themes and plugins, form processing, spam protection, analytics, search performance, email delivery, scheduling, storage, checkout, payment processing, and secure file delivery.

Digital-product checkout, payment processing, receipts, and secure file delivery are provided through Payhip and its payment partners. Your use of those services is also governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Third-party providers may process information according to their own policies, security practices, and legal obligations. I do not control all practices of third-party providers.

8. Payments and Digital Products

When you purchase a digital product through Payhip, I may receive limited transaction and customer information such as your name, email address, country or region, product purchased, licence selected, order date, transaction status, and correspondence related to delivery, support, refunds, or disputes.

Payhip and its payment-processing providers handle payment-card information according to their own terms and privacy practices. I generally do not receive or store complete payment-card details.

9. Transactional and Marketing Communications

Transactional messages may be sent to deliver a purchase, receipt, licence information, product support, security notice, or material service update.

Marketing or promotional communications will be sent only where permitted by law and where appropriate consent has been obtained. Purchasing a product does not automatically mean that you have agreed to unrelated marketing.

Where a report or other resource is delivered through an email form, the form should state what information is collected, whether the user is requesting only resource delivery or also marketing, which email platform processes the information, and how to unsubscribe. Optional marketing consent should not be bundled into a required download field without appropriate consent language.

Commercial electronic messages will be managed in a manner intended to comply with applicable Canadian anti-spam requirements and, where required, will include identification information and an unsubscribe mechanism.

10. Disclosure of Personal Information

I do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed where reasonable and appropriate:

  • To service providers supporting the website, forms, security, analytics, payment processing, product delivery, email delivery, or business operations.
  • To respond to your request, inquiry, purchase, support issue, or service need.
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, or professional obligations.
  • To protect the security, rights, property, or safety of the website, my business, users, or others.
  • In connection with a business transaction, restructuring, transfer, or change in operations.
  • With your consent or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

11. Storage and Processing Outside Canada

Some service providers may store or process information outside Alberta or outside Canada. When information is processed in another province, country, or jurisdiction, it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

12. Safeguards

I use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, loss, misuse, or alteration.

No website, form, email system, hosting provider, payment platform, or internet transmission is completely secure. Avoid submitting highly sensitive or confidential information through the contact form.

13. Retention

Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes identified in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods may depend on the type of information, purpose of collection, business-record requirements, tax and accounting obligations, legal obligations, dispute-resolution needs, and service-delivery requirements.

14. Access, Correction, Withdrawal, and Questions

You may request access to personal information I hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, withdraw certain consents, or ask questions about this policy.

Use the Contact page and clearly state that your message relates to privacy. I may need to verify identity before responding to certain requests.

15. Children

This website is intended for adults, professionals, organizations, and business users. It is not directed to children, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.

16. Links to Other Websites

The website may link to external websites, storefronts, social-media profiles, platforms, tools, and resources. I am not responsible for the privacy practices, content, security, or terms of external services.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

I may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, services, tools, resources, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised last-updated date.
